10 Wrestlers We Could See In AEW Double Or Nothing's Casino Battle Royale
6. Shawn Spears
Ronnie Arneill, who currently performs under the name Shawn Spears, had a long and arduous journey to get to WWE.
He first appeared for the company back in 2005, working for their developmental system, Ohio Valley Wrestling. He would make several appearances on WWE's ECW brand and had a brief but memorable cameo as "Stan", the victim of a Shawn Michaels' superkick backstage at Cyber Sunday 2006.
After being released in 2009, Spears took to the independent circuit to hone his craft. In 2013, he was back in WWE, this time under the name "Tye Dillinger" in NXT.
After years of lingering in the black and yellow brand, Dillinger caught fire when he adopted his "Perfect 10" gimmick and became one of the most over stars in the entire company.
Sadly, Dillinger was misused upon his call-up to the main roster in 2017 and eventually asked for his release in 2019, which he was granted.
Spears has said that he will only be taking bookings on the indies from May 31st onwards, but nothing is ever certain in wrestling.
Also, this Battle Royale has a countdown stipulation. You really think AEW haven't at least tried to get the "Perfect 10" for this match? Come on.
