10 Wrestlers We're Most Thankful For In 2019

4. Orange Cassidy

It's totally fine not to like Orange Cassidy's work. Comedy is one of wrestling's most subjective elements, so if you're not into the guy, feel free to click "NEXT." This isn't an attempt at selling doubters on his merits.

Subjectively, though, 'Freshly Squeezed' pops the WhatCulture office like few others. The rapturous enthusiasm that greets his every AEW appearance is reflected here, with the appreciation for every shin-crushing slow-motion superkick and hands-in-pockets dive matched only by the desire to see the daft, denim-clad jester in singles competition.

As well as being a boy-popper, Orange Cassidy is a big asset on the AEW midcard because attacking him is guaranteed heat for any heel who crosses him. The beatings 'Freshly Squeezed' take draw massive jeers in any building, meaning he's able to transfer his own overness to everyone who no-sells his goofy kicks and boots his face off in retaliation, making him an extremely useful guy to have around. He's got great taste in shades, too.

He'll never win everyone over and there'll come a time when the act must evolve to stay relevant, but for those who appreciate his work, the divisive Cassidy is hitting all the right notes.
