10 Wrestlers Who Are In The Wrong Promotion

3. Will Ospreay

What a magnificent professional wrestler Will Ospreay has blossomed into. Even in his younger days, the talent was clear to see, but it often got swallowed up in a mass of acrobatics and high-spots. That was his thing and it gave fans some thrilling matches, but his progression to heavyweight main event star has been fantastic. It is such a shame that his IWGP Heavyweight Championship reign was cut short. Here’s hoping we get a go-around at some point in the future.

Still, it would be pretty great to see Will Ospreay in WWE, wouldn’t it? For all the shade that is thrown towards the promotion (and rightly so), it retains a major feel that can’t be duplicated. Just look at Cody’s return, for a start. Will Ospreay would adapt to WWE’s demands in no time, and pro-wrestling fans around the world would be all the better for it.

Will Ospreay vs. Roman Reigns is the dream match you didn’t know you wanted until right now, while it would also be thrilling to see this new version of Ospreay go up against his idol, AJ Styles. Heck, how jarring would it be to see Ospreay against Edge, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and other WWE mainstays?

Ospreay can do whatever he wants, but here’s hoping he wants to do WWE in the future.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
