10 Wrestlers Who Are In The Wrong Promotion

2. Kenny Omega

This should probably be prefaced by saying that there is still so much for Kenny Omega to do in AEW. When he returns from his hiatus, the story with Adam Cole and The Young Bucks pretty much rights itself. There are plenty of new names in the company for Omega to have dream matches with (Samoa Joe, Malakai Black, CM Punk, to name just three), and there is also the feeling that we’re not entirely done with the Hangman/Omega story just yet.

There is plenty of life in Omega’s AEW run.

And this isn’t to say that Omega wouldn’t go well in WWE. Quite the opposite, in fact. There’s every chance that the former AEW World Champion would take the ‘Fed by storm, proving the naysayers wrong and proving that the Best Bout Machine moniker transcends promotions.

Omega’s name features on this list for one reason and one reason only. If it was announced that Kenny Omega was to have just one more match before retiring, there is only one opponent who could stand across from him. Kenny Omega vs. Kota Ibushi remains the biggest match on the planet, one that simply has to happen. Ibushi has a long-term contract with NJPW, so that is where Omega must eventually find himself.

It has to happen.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
