10 Wrestlers Who Are In The Wrong Role

5. Bryan Danielson As The BCC's Talent Scout

The sight of Bryan Danielson rocking up on AEW programming in the closing stages of All Out 2021 was enough to leave just about every wrestling fan on the planet frothing at the mouth over the sort of world class dream matches and run the now-WWE legend could pursue in the coming years.

And though The American Dragon has most definitely added some classics to his already stellar back catalogue during his time in the All Elite sun, it does still feel as though the company haven't fully gotten all they can out of the undoubted all-timer since becoming an AEW wrestler a year or so ago.

Forging the Blackpool Combat Club alongside William Regal and Mox has most definitely added another layer to Danielson's character in recent times, becoming the group's de facto talent scout and the driving force behind the BCC laying the foundations for the future of the business.

Yet, his need to further reinforce this violent ensemble has largely seen his own personal quest for greatness take a backseat, with Danielson still not holding gold under the AEW banner and perhaps losing more big matches than he needs to in his bids to give something back to the industry.

Who knows how much longer fans will have the honour of witnessing the brilliance of Bryan. So, maybe it's finally time for Danielson to focus on one more run at the top, and leave the BCC schooling/scouting to Claudio Castagnoli for a while, in what could act as his final spell as a full-time icon.
