There is a strong case to be made that wrestling fans have never had it so good.

Sure, nostalgic fans will point to the Hogan dominance of the 1980s, others the New Generation of early '90s. The WWE themselves always point to the Attitude Era as the nadir of the industry, but from a sheer quality and options of where to see it, the wrestling world is booming.

There are so many must-watch stars, some incredible stories being told, and therefore it can be really difficult to pinpoint someone who is the best at what they do. This list might be a little subjective, based on your wrestling palate, and there is certainly a good chance you can slot someone else into most of the positions on this list. Some of them, however, are undeniable, such is the greatness with which these stars shine.

But for now, at a time when the wrestling world is at it's healthiest, these ten superstars are at the pinnacle of their respective spots, and it would take a herculean effort from anyone to move them aside. But one of the greatest things in wrestling, is watching someone try - and eventually, this list will be taken up by an entirely different set of wrestlers.

Looking at the lay of the land today, though, we have sliced the wrestling industry into ten categories and these ten wrestlers sit at the top of each one.

10. Sami Zayn - The Boy-Popper

Sami Zayn has been a heel on WWE television for five years. Five! It's almost criminal, considering he is one of the most underutilised in-ring talents on the planet. Also, as one of the most sympathetic and genuine good guys, he had just over a year on the main roster as a babyface.

Whilst it looks like the slow-burn babyface turn is underway with his excellent storyline with the Bloodline, the reason why Sami is kept as a heel is he is downright hilarious in the role. He's consistently one of the most entertaining things on the show; whether it was his over the top conspiracy theory gimmick or his weaseling up to the Bloodline, he's exceptional at it.

Look at WrestleMania 37. To tie-in with Jackass Forever, WWE wanted someone to go toe to toe with Johnny Knoxville at the most stupendous night of the year, and boy did Sami deliver. Not many stars can get bodyslammed by Wee Man and still seem credible.

Zayn is a boy popper, and you only have to go back to these past few weeks of SmackDown! to see his interactions with the Bloodline for evidence. Whilst ridiculously discussing his strategy for taking on Drew McIntyre, Zayn is so hilarious that he made Jey Uso break character and start laughing.

The man is a treasure.
