10 Wrestlers Who Are The Best In The World At Exactly ONE Thing

5. Samoa Joe: Spoken Menace

Samoa Joe is to conveying menace verbally what Minoru Suzuki is to it physically. Perhaps the New Japan star hits similar levels with his promos as well, though it's difficult to tell without speaking his native language. They definitely sound scary, at least.

Joe is an animal on the microphone. You believe every threat that leaves his mouth because he delivers each word like he means it. His aggression and believability are elite, with only Taz coming close amongst presently active performers, and he's so good that he was able to turn a simple nursery rhyme told to AJ Styles' family sound murderous, elevating their old SmackDown feud far above what was presented between the ropes. Equal parts cold and searing, Joe speaks with a gravitas and sense of power that can't be taught in any expensive training school.

It's no surprise that Joe has taken to pro-wrestling commentary so well, given how great a promo he is, though it'd be a huge shame if this is the end of him in a role that allows him to play the meanest guy around. Like Taz, he'd be a great manager once his in-ring days are done.
