10 Wrestlers Who Are Way Too REAL For WWE

9. MJF

Eddie Kingston family
AEW

The dramatic rise of this young star in AEW has been a blessing, as he has quickly become one of the most established heels in the industry.

On paper, MJF seems like he would be a perfect fit for WWE, and it's reasonable to see why. He's got a great look, youth, a fantastic character and can go on the mic for days. But therein lies one of the most significant issues, and that's how he works his character.

As a performer, Maxwell Jacob Friedman thrives on improvisation and his connection to the crowd. In order to make his character feel real, he lives it and doesn't care about the ramifications that come along with that. He even infamously once gave the middle finger to a child in a photo op, and when confronted about it online, he simply responded, "F*** them kids".

His impulsive character decisions that are designed to shock would cause ripples through the company's HR department. While his gimmick might not be the most believable, it is real thanks to how far he's willing to go. While he'd undoubtedly perform his scripted promos well, the lack of creative freedom would neuter him.
