10 Wrestlers Who Are Way Too REAL For WWE

8. The Briscoe Brothers

Eddie Kingston family
Ring of Honor

Either of the Briscoes could have been included individually on this list, as they are both wild and erratic performers who bring a strong touch of authenticity to their work. But when combined as a tag team, they're one of the most realistic and scrappy in the business. Seeing as WWE have such trouble with their already conventional tag team stars, it's safe to say they'd have no idea what to do with a team this gritty.

This decorated Ring of Honor tag team takes realism to unpleasant levels, often sporting the Confederate flag on their ring gear. Their gritty look doesn't exactly scream "primetime on FOX" either. Plus their promos always feel like they're running their mouths, and putting a script to that would feel hollow.

The pair of Jay and Mark Briscoe have even been turned down by WWE before, stating in a video on Ring of Honour's YouTube channel that they were not considered "cosmetically pleasing". Of all the reasons to be turned down, that seems on-brand for the pair, as they've always felt rugged and rough, not the superstar type.
