10 Wrestlers Who Are Way Too REAL For WWE
2. Eddie Kingston
Eddie Kingston is such a fantastic part of the wrestling world, as while he doesn't look like a particularly eye-catching star, he'll make you think he's the king of the world when he grabs a microphone.
He's made a considerable name for himself wrestling on the indies and now finds himself in a very prominent position on the AEW roster. But don't bother crossing your fingers for an NXT debut, because his realistic and rugged style would be a poor fit for the company.
To begin, Kingston instantly hits the ground running with his realism as he cuts his promos with a thick New York accent, making him stand out amongst the crowd. There's an extreme toughness to his mic work that makes him seem like a guy you might standoff against outside a nightclub, which adds to his gritty mystique.
Alongside his excellent talking skills, he's also an unconventional looking wrestler, as his physique doesn't have the definition you'd expect in a wrestling superstar. This causes him to seem even more down to earth as a character, making him come across like a legitimate brawler.
Thanks to his uncapped mic skills, creative freedom and individual look, WWE is the last place he should be.
