10 Wrestlers Who Beat Goldberg

5. Scott Steiner - Fall Brawl 2000

For a lot of fans, Goldberg's all-time best match in the squared circle came at Fall Brawl 2000, where he came up against Scott Steiner in a No Disqualification bout in the night's penultimate match.

This seems kind of incredible when you picture the two of them side by side. Big, beefy guys like these two almost always put on their best work opposite comparatively small wrestlers who they can toss around the ring (see: Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Bret Hart, Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle).

Even more incredible is that Goldberg actually lost the bout as a result of a technical knockout, after falling asleep while locked in the Steiner Recliner. Even in the kayfabe world, that must look pretty good on Big Poppa Pomp's resumé.

To be fair, though, he was only able to put his opponent in the submission hold after hitting him twice with a lead pipe - which is technically legal in a match like this, but it's unlikely he would have caught Bill unawares without a well-timed distraction from one Vince Russo.
