10 Wrestlers Who Burned EVERY Bridge On The Way Out
1. Ultimate Warrior
You know that you must have done something incredibly wrong to have inspired the company that made you a star to produce a scathing DVD release about your self-destruction.
Jim Hellwig - this guy's real name before he legally changed it to Warrior in 1993 - was a major player in the golden age of the company, and seemed to many like the natural successor to Hulk Hogan, but after winning the World Title from the Hulkster, Warrior's run didn't hit the same way. Thus, his slide commenced.
Bitterness and jealously surrounding Hogan's prominent position over him led to a large amount of tension between Warrior and the company. He demanded to be paid the same amount as the massive star and even held Vince McMahon hostage for $500,000 after he refused to wrestle at SummerSlam without a pay rise.
This wasn't even the first time he'd played such a card, as shared letters between Warrior and McMahon showed that Warrior had been demanding equal pay with Hogan even six weeks before the infamous no-show threat event.
Afterwards, a litany of legal battles between himself and WWE occurred over the trademark on his name and the scathing DVD release. It's hard to comprehend how they succeeded in burying the hatchet before Warrior's death in 2014.
