10 Wrestlers Who Butted Heads With WWE Creative (And Won)
7. Hulk Hogan
It's not exactly a secret that Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart didn't see eye to eye. In fact, legend has it that the Hulkster outright refused to lose to his Canadian counterpart, telling bosses that he was too small for it to be a believable outcome.
Vince McMahon believed it was best for business, however, and managed to agree a sneaky quid pro quo with his franchise player. In essence: he would get his big moment at WrestleMania IX, on the condition that he agreed to lose to The Hitman a few months later.
But here's where Hogan managed to one up his creative masters: he happily walked out in March 1993 and beat Yokozuna for the WWF Title, but then got cold feet when it came to the getting pinned by Bret part of the deal.
Instead, he lost the belt back to Yoko at King of the Ring. The chairman's dream of a torch-passing moment between the face of yesterday and the face of tomorrow never became a reality, and not a single lesson was learned.
