10 Wrestlers Who Changed Managers

2. Randy Savage - Miss Elizabeth To Sensational Sherri

The Macho Man was one of the few wrestlers on this list who really didn't need a manger to help him along in the promo department, however, he was rarely seen without a valet at his side for much of his WWE run. The Original Manager €“ When Savage first started to make his mark in the WWE a competition was announced in which all of the managers in the company would compete for his services, which is the type of angle that is sorely lacking from today's product. The winner was Miss Elizabeth, who was a complete unknown at the time but carried with her a glamour and beauty that set her apart from other managers of the period. With Savage as her charge she quickly established herself as the archetypal valet. Under her stewardship Savage would win both Intercontinental and Heavyweight gold, but the implosion of the Mega Powers at Wrestlemania V put paid to the partnership.
The Switch €“ With Savage in full on heel mode following the event, he enlisted the services of Sensational Sherri in response to the perceived betrayal by Elizabeth. Though early signs were promising, as Savage won the King of the Ring crown from Jim Duggan in 1989 and proclaimed himself the Macho King with Sherri as his queen, further successes were hard to come by. Savage and Sherri stuck together until his €œretirement€ match against The Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania VII, when Miss Elizabeth made her triumphant return to create one of the most fondly remember Wrestlemania moments. As for Macho Man's retirement...well we all know how that turned out.
