10 Wrestlers Who Changed Managers

5. Hardy Boyz - Michael Hayes To Terri Runnels

The Hardy Boyz are well-established as one of the greatest tag teams in the history of the WWE, with their chaotic feuds against the Dudleyz and Edge and Christian providing more than their fair share of €˜holy s**t€™ moments. Every team has to start somewhere though€ The Original €“ Michael Hayes will always be remembered as the most flamboyant member of the Fabulous Freebirds, but he was also the first man to guide the Hardy Boyz to tag team gold as he managed them during their first year in the WWE. That first reign lasted about a month and the team were quick to dump Hayes when the titles ended up back around the waists of The Acolytes following a match at Fully Loaded 1999.
The Change €“ The Hardy Boyz briefly aligned with Gangrel for a cup of coffee as the €˜New Brood€™ before engaging in a series of matches for the combined managerial services of Terri Runnels and her under boobs. The series, which became known as the Terri Runnels Invitational, culminated in a brutal tag team ladder match that was the first of its kind in the WWE. The Hardyz emerged victorious and Runnels managed them right up until she was injured following a powerslam through a table by Bubba Ray Dudley. Soon after, the duo would hook up with Lita, Matt in particular, forming Team Xtreme while Runnels went on to other clients.
