10 Wrestlers Who Could Be AEW's Joker In Dynamite's Casino Ladder Match
7. Anthony Ogogo
At present, Anthony Ogogo is sidelined with an eye injury. He's not wrestled since 4 June, having undergone surgery. Essentially, the Guv'nor is blind in his left eye, though this only furthers his reputation as a legitimate fighter; he's said himself that the injury isn't viewed as a weakness. He's happy for it to be the target of a match.
He looked to be in great condition while attending a spot of boxing at Wembley. Surely he's nearing a return date.
It was unfortunate timing, as his AEW career was only just getting started. He was instantaneously established as a genuine killer when he murdered Cole Karter in under a minute, and then Austin Gunn in just over two minutes. A good chunk of that Gunn contest was, however, spent with Ogogo overlooking Austin as Bryce Remsburg checked he hadn't committed literal murder. His straight punch to the ribs became a feared manoeuvre in AEW.
Although he lost to Cody Rhodes at Double Or Nothing - one of AEW's only controversial decisions thus far - Ogogo remains a readily made star in the Tony Khan-helmed promotion. The Factory could do with the return of the former professional boxer in the same vein as AEW could be helped with having this legitimate fighter back on the scene. He wouldn't win the match, but his inclusion would benefit all involved.
