10 Wrestlers Who Could Be AEW's Joker In Dynamite's Casino Ladder Match
8. Alex Zayne
Alex Zayne? On a marquee stage? In a promotion that could actually comprehend his capabilities surrounded by ladders?
Bring it on.
Released by WWE over the summer, the former Ari Sterling has wasted little time ridding himself of the WWE stench, most recently wrestling a couple of bangers for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and IMPACT Wrestling. The IMPACT performance, for example, was his first time competing for the Anthem-helmed promotion, and yet, he felt like a former multi-time champion. He was a natural fit - should IMPACT continue the process of bringing back the X Division of old in this post-Josh Alexander era, he's a necessity.
Zayne rose to prominence on the independent circuit for his insane abilities in the air. This was the guy who could not only flawlessly execute a 450 splash from a running position, but gain some serious height in doing so. The rest of his arsenal follows suit, though his inside out springboard phoenix splash should have remained an idea; still, you can't fault the guy for trying.
His style is an organic fit for All Elite Wrestling, even more so in this style of match. He can perform aerial exchanges with PAC before then being decimated by a Jon Moxley Paradigm Shift off a ladder or whatever other crazy spot Zayne fancies taking. He'd make the match a hoot.
