10 Wrestlers Who Could Be AEW's Joker In Dynamite's Casino Ladder Match
6. Chris Hero
Chris Hero is one of the few Black Wednesday WWE releases yet to wrestle since being dumped from the promotion in April 2020. Having primarily wrestled on NXT and NXT UK in his final days there, the Knockout Artist had also been used in more of a coaching role, too. Arguably, there's no one better for this role.
He's been used as a backstage producer for Ring Of Honor since, but again, he's yet to throw another elbow.
An indie darling that genuinely changed the game for striking, technical-based wrestlers, the former Kassius Ohno is an organic fit for All Elite Wrestling. His style works for the company. He's wrestled everywhere you could imagine. He's got the blessing of Mitsuharu Misawa. He holds a genuine world record for the longest pro wrestling match on record, wrestling a three hour and ten minutes gauntlet match for charity.
Safe to say, the addition of Chris Hero to a company like AEW would create a long-term asset for the promotion.
AEW has a credible track record of bringing in some independent names that were immensely popular during the 2000s - Eddie Kingston, 2point0, Colt Cabana, et al - and providing them with that platform to be viewed by a wider audience. Chris Hero, albeit an ex-WWE guy, fits that mould wonderfully.
If this doesn't convince you, then picture a Black Arrow countered with a Rolling Elbow. Ooft.
