10 Wrestlers Who Could Be President
Hey, if Trump can do it...
U.S politics is in a crazy place right now, with Donald Trump having been elected president. God help us all. The man can't even take a Stone Cold Stunner properly, how is he going to run a country?
Then, as if 2016 couldn't get any more ridiculous, The Rock's thrown his hat into the ring and claims he plans to run for office in 2020. With his oratory skills, we could expect some great speeches and slogans from Dwayne Johnson on the campaign trail. Plus the guy is pretty universally beloved and is used to saving the day, so a Rock presidency might just be crazy enough to work.
And, hey, if Trump can be president, anyone can, right? Even Ric Flair put together a campaign video last month, although the thought of the 'Dirtiest Player In The Game' in the White House is a terrifying one.
The Rock's ambitions for the Oval Office though have got us thinking; which other wrestling superstars would make a good U.S President?
Here's 10 great options, without a McMahon in sight...
10. Mick Foley
He's the everyman hero of countless WWE fans around the world and we're sure 'Mrs Foley's Baby Boy' could channel that charisma into a solid run for the White House.
Foley already frequently posts about politics and has a clear interest in the state of his country. On top of that, he's no stranger to speaking his mind and being honest about what he thinks is wrong in WWE. In many ways, he's the voice of the people; and that's what America wants right now.
He's also shown a willingness to put himself on the line for what he believes in, often physically. And as a multiple time world champion, a bestselling author and comedian, Foley has shown he can turn his hand to just about any role and be successful. With popular stints as WWF Commissioner and now Raw General Manager, Foley's leadership skills shouldn't be underestimated either.
We just hope he leaves the barbed wire and the thumbtacks at home so as not to freak out any foreign ambassadors.
