10 Wrestlers Who Could Have Been Main Eventers With Better Gimmicks
6. Lance Storm
Lance Storm spent years in ECW proving himself to be a worthy successor to the Calgary wrestling tradition established by the Hart family. In 2000, he joined WCW, and even though he was only a part of the company for nine months before it closed, he quickly shot up the rankings, winning three titles simultaneously.
Once WWE took his contract over, though, it was clear that they didn't see the same potential in him. Despite kicking off the Invasion with an attack on Perry Saturn and then winning the Intercontinental Title, he soon got lost in the shuffle. Even when he became the leader of The Un-Americans the following year, the company just didn't put much focus on him.
Things got worse. Storm was given a "boring" gimmick, where he was criticized for his serious attitude (never mind his talent). It was meant to set up a face turn, but when he finally did he was first stuck with a dancing gimmick, then one where he was complimented for the size of his penis.
WWE could have had another world-class talent in Storm, but instead, they decided he wasn't worth it. In 2004, he chose to close the book on his full-time in-ring career.
