The Road Warriors had one hell of a run throughout their 20 year tenure in the business. Spanning from 1983 to 2003, Animal and Hawk took the wrestling world by storm, gaining a long list of championships and Hall of Fame inductions along the way.

Making their debut in Georgia Championship Wrestling in 1983, the pairing was allegedly the brain child of booker Ole Anderson. As a twosome, The Road Warriors were considered main event material from the moment they stepped foot in the ring. The duo's hard-hitting style made them a believable force to be reckoned with and the team rocketed up the ladder in no time.

The Road Warriors won the NWA National Tag Team Championship within weeks of their debut and quickly made a name for themselves as stiff, take-no-prisoners tough guys in the ring. The gimmick seemed real because it was - Animal and Hawk were legit badasses from their days bouncing at Grandma B's nightclub in Minneapolis–Saint Paul.

As pros, The Road Warriors quickly caught the eye of Verne Gagne and made their way over to the AWA. They once again won the Tag Titles within short order, making a mockery of established champs, The Crusher and Baron Von Raschke. Not a bad way to make an impact on the wrestling industry.
