10 Wrestlers Who Deserve A Big Push After WWE Royal Rumble 2018

8. Ruby Riott

Her stable might be nothing more than an ineffective Absolution tribute act, but Ruby Riott is an excellent wrestler. Her indie career was stellar, and she always delivered solid performances in NXT, rounding her developmental run off with a surprisingly strong series against the greener-than-a-queasy-Grinch Sonya Deville. Sure, her mic work isn't quite on the same level, but it'll get there eventually.

Ruby, at the moment, is nothing more than a ringleader for two under-seasoned wrestlers who were called to the main roster entirely too early. She cannot succeed in this role, for The Riott Squad is an anchor, and unless their booking improves, the group's matriarch is destined to fail.

What Riott needs is an opportunity. She's worked a handful of main roster singles bouts so far, but nothing substantial, and this must change. A strong 12-15 minuter against a Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair should open the world's eyes to her talents, and mark her as a SmackDown standout, but she desperately needs to escape the brand's woefully thin middle tier. This is nothing a solid Women's Title program shouldn't fix, fortunately.
