5. Drew McIntyre

While it's far too early to say that WWE have reneged on Drew McIntyre's once-impending main event push, they've definitely dialled back on 'The Scottish Psychopath' recently.

A victim of 50/50 booking and WWE's inability to preserve an aura, McIntyre's enthusiasm is cooling off, and he'll likely spend the next few months feuding with Dolph Ziggler. This will further hinder his main event march. A shame, given the paucity of believable top guys in and around that level of the card.

McIntyre's strong Rumble performance warrants something bigger. He eliminated Xavier Woods, Pete Dunne, Kofi Kingston, and Jeff Hardy throughout his run, with Ziggler eventually throwing him out with a Braun Strowman assist. Not quite the Diesel run many had predicted for him, but a solid spell of dominance nonetheless. Only 'The Monster Among Men' scored more eliminations.

Re-aligning Drew's direction is the right move, along with a long winning streak. Burning his first clean pinfall loss on Ziggler was a mistake. WWE can repair that over the coming months, and in doing so, they'll establish the Scot as Raw's most credible main event heel not-named Brock Lesnar.
