10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Finishers
9. Sami Zayn
Before Sami Zayn ever set foot in a WWE ring, he was an established independent star with an established finisher. As El Generico, he had one of the craziest finishing moves in the sport - a top-rope brainbuster where he'd drop his opponent headfirst on the top turnbuckle.
Needless to say, that wasn't going to fly in WWE. When Zayn was unmasked and given his current name, he also got a new finisher - his old Ole Kick (a Yakuza Kick) was renamed the Helluva Kick. It was a pretty good fit for Zayn, as the relatively small star could conceivably hit it on any opponent.
Still, for a man with as impressive an arsenal as Zayn, the Helluva Kick is among the least memorable of his regular moves. When fans think of some of the crazy things that Zayn can do, usually his through-the-ropes DDT tops the list in terms of sheer "wow" factor.
It might be unwieldy for Zayn to bust that out in every single match, but something similarly unorthodox and visually stunning might ultimately suit him better than the kick.
