10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Gimmicks

The Problem: Bayley's honeymoon period on the main roster was brief, and it's true her character was botched long before the influx of fresh female talent pushed her further down the scale of importance on Raw.

WWE failed to develop Bayley's girl-next-door gimmick once she moved up from NXT. There, the hardcore fan base embraced her sweetheart persona and treated Bayley like a star. Casual fans who only watch the main shows or don't give a toss what happens at Full Sail haven't. They've never been given reason to.

Suggested Change: Bayley is cast like WWE's version of Peter Pan. She'll never grown up and refuses to trade childlike innocence for reality.

There's no way that can continue to cut it with newcomers like Ronda Rousey on the roster. Rousey is the strong female role model young women will gravitate towards, not some dork who wears her hair in a side-ponytail and is regularly made to look like she's oblivious to the threat of those around her.

Trying to repeat Bayley's NXT success hasn't worked, and it's time for a major adjustment before she ends up back there. WWE don't necessarily need to turn Bayley heel, but they do need to abandon her 'John Cena for the girls' gimmick for a while and give fans a reason to commit.
