8. Awesome Kong

Awesome Kong is one of the most intimidating women's wrestlers of all time. Carrying herself with a ferocious intensity, she got her first break in the United States as a member of the Knockouts division. Her feud with Gail Kim throughout '07 and early '08 remains one of TNA's finest thanks to their incendiary chemistry in the ring.

Incredibly agile and technically skilled, Kong went on a warpath through TNA's roster, getting monumentally over with the Impact Zone crowds in the process. Sadly, as is so often the case with unbeatable characters, Kong's heat began to dwindle once she finally ate a pin-fall.

A long-running angle where Kong would decimate fans (all planted wrestlers of course) in an open challenge gave way to Taylor Wilde picking up an unthinkable win over the Shimmer veteran. While the result was thrilling at the time, the genie was out of the bottle in regards to Kong's monster aura. While still prominent for the rest of her initial run there, she never quite regained the same level of heat.

Of her many standout runs across several promotions, Awesome Kong's first tenure in TNA remains her peak as both a character and worker.
