10 Wrestlers Who Didn't Take Their Gimmicks Seriously Enough

5. The Yeti

It must be fully acknowledged right off the bat that The Yeti was a genuinely awful wrestling character - one that just about any performer in the industry's history would have struggled to make a success of. A big part of the reason for this is the ridiculous attire.

Apart from looking utterly comical, it also severely inhibited the guy's movement in the ring, meaning that - even if the man inside it was talented (which he wasn't) - he likely wouldn't have been able to show it.

That said, Ron Reis' portrayal kind of sucked. The way he walked to the ring was unconvincing, let alone his attempts at ostensibly trying to beat up opponents inside of it (which looked more like love-making).

Given all of the aforementioned, though - plus the fact that this was Reis' first major venture into the squared circle - you probably have to give him a pass. You were terrible, Ron, but you couldn't really help it.
