It says everything about Will Ospreay's AEW stint that he was used to spotlight an article called: '10 Big-Time Wrestling Debuts That Were Totally Wasted'. The celebrated high-flyer, one who has worked tirelessly to become a terrific all-rounder, should've had something more special waiting for him when he debuted.

Instead, Will worked a shock ambush angle on the 8 June Dynamite alongside stablemates Aussie Open, then wrestled exactly six matches for the promotion before dashing back off to New Japan. The whole situation came across as a spurned exercise, and one fans who have followed Ospreay's dazzling career wish they could have back.

That AEW stuff was far too rushed.

What about WWE? Well, Will seems happier doing his thing over in Japan than he would be working on Raw, SmackDown or NXT. He's never shied away from early goals to work there, but those goals have morphed and shifted as he's grown up.
