Big Strongman! For reasons I can't quite place, I'm a bit of a fan of Braun Strowman. Maybe it was having to research him for an article a few months back, but his career in strongman competition showed a huge man with buckets of charisma, charisma that will hopefully be exposed to the world once he is freed of the Wyatt Family-shaped shackles.

Still, 'imposing big man' is no longer a relevant character in professional wrestling. Strowman needs to improve and improve quickly to bring value to the New Era, but even so performers of his type are a dying breed when it comes to relevance.

In years gone by, Strowman would have been guaranteed a decent run in the company by feuding initially with The Undertaker, moving onto maybe Cena before eventually turning face and being a dancing big guy. In 2016, Strowman is somewhat lost in the mix.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
