From one of the worst Royal Rumble competitors to one of the greatest of all time.

Kane may well enter the match this Sunday, and despite Roman Reigns breaking his most eliminations record in 2015, the Big Red Machine will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time. Kane has taken part in 19 Royal Rumbles, seven clear of the next best (Shawn Michaels with 12).

Kane also holds the record for total eliminations in cumulative Rumbles, with 44 in total. Reigns may well break that record eventually, as The Big Dog currently has 23 eliminations in three appearances - but for now, Kane stands on top. Despite never winning the match, Kane also comes in fourth on the all-time cumulative time spent in the Rumble, with an impressive three hours, 38 minutes and 46 seconds.

His initial gimmicks don't get a whole lot of love, but Isaac Yankem and Fake Diesel did pretty well in their own Rumble appearances. Yankem made it to the final six in 1996, before Fake Diesel went one better in 1997 as the penultimate man eliminated from the match. Even as recently as 2015, Kane has found himself in the final four.

While that wasn't exactly a great booking move, it still happened.
