10 Wrestlers Who Found God

2. Sting

This year's WrestleMania rookie Sting, who happens to be a legend that's soon to be 56 years old, is a born again Christian that has admitted many times that without his faith his life may have gone down a different path. Here's how Sting explained it to 700 Club: "I told her (my wife) I was taking prescription drugs. I was taking pain killers, I was taking muscle relaxers, and I was drinking alcohol. She said, 'How long you been doing this?' And I told her, 'It€™s been a couple of years now.' I begged and pleaded with her. I said, 'Look. I€™ll stop. I€™ll stop.' And I couldn€™t do it. About 30 days went by, and things really started to go downhill." His brother had told him about God's love for him and that's when Sting was able to change things in his life: "I said, 'I cannot do this on my own. I need You to come save my life, save my marriage, because it€™s out of control.' And I invited Him to come and live in me. I told Him, 'I€™m going to live my life for You from this day forward.'" In the same interview, Sting mentioned how dedicated he is to God: "He€™s done so many things in our life and in our marriage. We€™re raising our children now in the Lord, all three of our kids, and restoration and reconciliation has taken place." If you watched Sting in WCW, TNA or WWE you know he's not going to mention religion because it doesn't really fit into his character, but as you can see from the comments above it's a big part of his life. He even did interviews on television talking about his faith too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI9sBvGhSUM
