10 Wrestlers Who Got Hit With A Car (And WHO DID IT!)

5. Santa Claus (By Alberto Del Rio)

In a rare showing of 2010s patter from an increasingly homogenised main roster WWE, the company elected to donate an entire Christmas Eve edition of Raw to a gallows humour moment involving the near-death of a festive icon. It occurred just seconds into the broadcast and saw Alberto Del Rio inadvertently running over Santa Claus as he was dishing out DVDs to ringside children. St Nick took a hell of a bump, but things looked immediately bleak.

On the verge of a face turn, Del Rio showed actual remorse for this one, before John Cena beat some more out of him in the evening's Miracle On 34th Street Fight main event. It followed a string of vignettes that saw Santa fighting for his life before pulling through and ensuring 'The Champ' saved Christmas after all.

Not since Steve Austin dropped him with a Stunner in 1997 had the company made such light of Chris Cringle taking a kicking, but the happy ending (and a break from the mundane late-2012 storylines in general) made for one of the more memorable editions of the show.
