10 Wrestlers Who Got Pissed Off At Critics

1. Hulk Hogan

Hogan Observer
WWE Network

Hulk Hogan was never a critical darling - the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer infamously rated the most famous match in modern history -**** - and his reputation hit staggering new lows in 1995.

And you'd have to be a troll to intentionally fail to understand why: Hogan worked sh*tty matches, only without the euphoric reactions that once carried them, against a parade of monster heels so lame they belonged to Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. This is an affront to Power Rangers because that show was over. Hogan, and to be fair, he said this himself, was "not hot!"

At the first World War 3 pay-per-view in 1995, Hulk Hogan, in response to the apparent fake news of Randy Savage's arm injury, burned a copy of the newsletter in front of an audience that barely knew it existed.

"Observe this, brother! This is what we call a ragsheet, brother!" Hogan said. "This is like a dinosaur compared to the internet, brother!"

"Dinosaur," Jesus Christ. That was rich. He might as well have called it racist.

Also, Savage was legitimately injured. Also, the internet got "the scoops" from the Observer.
