10 Wrestlers Who Got TERRIBLE Advice From WWE
4. Brock Lesnar Should Never Sell
Brock Lesnar's matches with The Rock, Kurt Angle, John Cena, Goldberg, The Undertaker and countless others all had one thing in common: Brock sold for his opponents. He's deceptively good at that, and doesn't mind selling his ass off for smaller workers like AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan when the time is right either.
WWE producers originally told him never to do that.
It's criminal to think that one of wrestling's best sellers could've been lost here, but it's true. Paul Heyman once revealed during a live Q&A session that Tazz overhead company agents warning Lesnar that he better no-sell everything like some invincible brick wall "Russian character" back in 2002.
Tazz was appalled by that idea, and asked Heyman to intervene. The ex-ECW chief did, and he ended up becoming good friends with Brock. Imagine how different Lesnar's career could've been had he been cast as Kurrgan II? It doesn't bear thinking about.
Paul E's nous helped shine Brock's skills up instead of restricting them.
