After making his debut as part of the Invasion angle, Rob Van Dam became popular amongst WWE fans thanks to his exciting style and penchant for pointing at himself.

Unfortunately for Mr. Monday Night, his rise to the top of the card in the ensuing years had the unfortunate timing of coinciding with Triple H's reign of terror, where The Game ruthlessly dispatched a number of potential stars in successive feuds, both in, and out of the ring.

Triple H is reported to have used his backstage influence to curtail RVD's career, and even made an underhanded comment about "munchies" that Van Dam unsurprisingly took exception to.

Much like the aforementioned Jericho, Van Dam was also targeted in Hunter's 2013 promo where he claimed that the former ECW Champion was never a top star. While RVD hasn't gone as far as some of the other entrants on this list, he has proven in recent years that he isn't afraid to take a cheeky swipe at the omnipotent King of Kings.
