6. Shawn Michaels And Sunny

In their brief interactions on screen Shawn Michaels and Sunny had natural charm together. Likely because they were sleeping together behind the scenes. Regardless, they fit together well which translated very well across the screen.

Shawn was the most popular heartthrob in wrestling in the mid ‘90s, with girls often going wild for him in the audience. He even made the cover of Playgirl. Sunny meanwhile was a stunning pin-up girl and at one point the most downloaded celebrity on all of the internet. Their natural good looks and charisma would have made for a great onscreen relationship. The WWF could have easily ran a romantic angle or used Sunny as Shawn’s valet.

They crossed paths a few times on screen. In a match with Billy Gunn, Shawn twice heavily made out with Sunny (The Smoking Gunns manager at the time). Sunny interviewed Shawn at the One Night Only PPV too in a notorious promo for how obvious it was they were sleeping together in real life, where Shawn went as far as claiming he was feeling awfully randy whilst pressing himself into her.

WWE likely never ran with the two to not cause any further issues between Shawn and Sunny’s real-life long-term boyfriend Chris Candido.
