10 Wrestlers Who Had Their Best Match Against Shawn Michaels

Credit needs to be given when credit is due. Vince McMahon knew his limits when it came to in-ring work, and as a result stuck to street fights, usually one-sided bloodbaths. However, none stood out like his match against Shawn Michaels.

The match already had a great deal of story behind it, as Shane and Vince had interfered in the 2006 Royal Rumble match to eliminate Shawn. What followed at ‘Mania was an all-out brawl. A welcome difference from most McMahon ‘Mania matches, it featured a solid amount of offence from both sides. It was also unique to see Michaels adapt to the hardcore style and deliver some weapon-based offence of his own, notably him choking McMahon with cords.

This match was as fun as a wrestling match could be, with Shane even being forced to kiss his father’s ass (yes, you heard that correctly). It was a welcome blend of comedy and pandemonium, and will undoubtedly be remembered as Vince’s best match ever.
