10 Wrestlers Who HATED Hulk Hogan
8. Shawn Michaels
No prizes for guessing where the contempt between these two came from.
Their highly-anticipated 'Legend vs. Icon' match at SummerSlam 2005 is a must-see for any self-respecting wrestling fan for all the wrong reasons. What was meant to be a thrilling clash of the titans between two superstars of their respective eras rapidly devolves into a laughable showcase wherein HBK oversells everything before succumbing to the lethal leg drop.
Whilst it's worth bearing in mind that the Hulkster isn't the only guy in the match with a rather inflated opinion of himself, the general consensus appears to be that Michaels elected to sabotage their contest upon discovering that Hogan had nixed the plan for a best-of-three series.
Originally, the two would trade wins before 'The Immortal One' would eventually emerge victorious. However, Hogan instead wanted a simple one-and-done encounter rather than putting over his opponent, got his wish, and ended up competing with an octopus in a washing machine instead.
