10 Wrestlers Who Have Been Swept Under The Rug
8. Lacey Evans
It always feels like WWE, whoever is in the creative chair, has no idea with what they want to do with Lacey Evans.
Her first run as the 'Sassy Southern Belle' was undercut by sloppy in-ring work and then, thankfully, her 'relationship' with Ric Flair was cut short due to her real-life pregnancy. But since Evans' return to action earlier this year, there hasn't really been a clear plan.
Some early vignettes detailing her very real struggles with her father's addiction, and life in the military made her feel like a sympathetic babyface. Then, bizarrely, it was undone by a senseless demand for respect and a heel turn.
Then she was moved to RAW. Then back to SmackDown. It's hard to maintain interest when the company itself shows little.
Since then, Evans has appeared sporadically, jobbing in matches and building next to no momentum. Recently, she's done little of note and it certainly feels that any plans to propel her up the card have been abandoned. Considering the wealth of stars WWE has in its blossoming women's division, Evans doesn't feel remotely in the conversation.
Unfortunately for Lacey, it appears Triple H has his attention focused elsewhere, and she will continue to be a background player within WWE.
