10 Wrestlers Who Have Been Swept Under The Rug
7. Dan Lambert
Dan Lambert isn't a wrestler, that much was clear during the Minneapolis Street Fight at AEW Full Gear between American Top Team and the Inner Circle. But he deserves to be on this list because he has simply dropped off the map where AEW is concerned.
That's not necessarily a bad thing. Whilst the cheap heat he garnered was white hot at times, Lambert's reliance on attacking the woke and eating the lowest hanging fruit became gruesomely tiresome, and if anything, it hindered more than helped the likes of Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page.
There were also numerous promo battles with Chris Jericho which were, quite frankly, rank trash and sullied Jericho so much that this year feels like an unlikely recovery.
Considering Lambert was a weekly, prominent and vocal presence for much of 2021, it does feel a little abrupt that he has just been dropped from All Elite Wrestling like a bad habit, along with the rest of American Top Team.
What the future holds for the likes of Paige VanZant is anyone's guess, especially as she showed clear natural ability to forge a wrestling career. But that now feels dead in the water, along with any hope that Dan Lambert, whether you like him or not, will appear in AEW again.
