10 Wrestlers Who Have Locker Room Heat Right Now
These particular wrestlers aren't winning any popularity contests any time soon...
A wrestling locker room is a rather delicate animal, it must be said.
With something as simple as the pushing of a "send" button or throwaway dig mid-interview, a once-harmonious landscape can very quickly devolve into an extremely hostile environment in next to no time at all.
And 2022 in particular has highlighted just how swiftly the peace can be disrupted backstage time and time... and time again, with everyone from Best in the World Champions to son of the one-time bosses generating enough backstage heat to warm a whole continent over the last year.
Now sure, time has a funny ol' way of healing all wounds - and the same most definitely applies when it comes to the drama regularly seen unfolding backstage or within the locker room walls. But at this current moment in time, it's safe to say that each and every one of these controversial names are still feeling various degrees of heat... and likely will continue to for the foreseeable.
From returning sensations upsetting certain members of the All Elite dressing room, to monstrous performers learning the hard way that Twitter isn't always the answer, these are those wrestlers who haven't been in the habit of making locker room pals of late...
10. Santana
While he'd no doubt prefer to be throwing down in the squared-circle right now, Santana's enforced absence from AEW may actually be a blessing in disguise.
In the time that followed the Proud & Powerful star's significant knee injury during June's Blood & Guts war, there were a few rumblings of dissension between the former Inner Circle tag unit. Long-time pal Konnan would even admit during the Keepin It 100 podcast (via 411Mania) in July that "they are not on good terms.”
And it doesn't seem as though things have cooled off behind the scenes in the time since Santana's disappearance from All Elite television either, with Konnan also adding last month that things got so heated between Santana and Ortiz that Eddie Kingston had to step in to the point where both he and the injured star almost "got physical".
Santana eventually returning to the AEW locker room now appears to be increasingly unlikely, with Konnan again adding that he could see the P&P man leaving the promotion at the end of his current deal due to wanting "more".
So, unless things drastically change in the coming months, fans may have actually seen the last of this Proud & Powerful pair together.
