10 Wrestlers Who Have Peaked In 2022
8. Liv Morgan
This year's Money in the Bank turned out to be something of a double-edged sword for perennial underdog Liv Morgan.
While it did play host to undoubtedly the greatest night of her professional career, with the plucky face not only coming away with the titular briefcase but also cashing it in on SmackDown Women's Champion Ronda bloody Rousey before the night had reached its end, it also acted as a pretty tough act to follow, in all honesty.
In one of the most recent examples of WWE seemingly booking for The Moment rather than with an effective long-term plan in mind, Liv would depressingly proceed to be presented as little more than a valiant fluke champ who continued to luck her way out of falling to The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
Things took such a nosedive in the wake of her SummerSlam escape, tapping out just as Rousey's shoulders were pinned to the mat, that the ever-loveable babyface champ even found herself being booed out of the building on the following edition of SmackDown.
In the end, her dropping of the strap back to Rousey in a somewhat surreal Extreme Rules encounter felt about as inevitable as it did disappointing, with Liv never quite being given the chance to follow-up on the euphoric response to her long-awaited climb to the top of the mountain/ladder.
Still, 2022 definitely came equipped with arguably the highest of highs for her... you better beLIV it.
