10 Wrestlers Who Have SERIOUSLY Regressed In The Ring
8. Matt Hardy
Matt Hardy's entrance music used to say he could "slap a tornado", nowadays he might be able to handle poking a storm at best.
While Hardy has declined in his in-ring performances, the man is still brilliant, as his wrestling abilities have been on a slippery slope for some time, but he's kept himself relevant thanks to his unique character work and forward-thinking. Still, that doesn't mean he'll be standing toe-to-toe with Kenny Omega anytime soon.
It's not very often that you see "Big Money Matt" in the ring anymore, as he's transitioned chiefly to a valet/manager position. But whenever he does step in - like in the recent Double or Nothing Casino Battle Royale - it's clear that his age is catching up to him.
Seeing the older Hardy brother in the ring now clarifies that he's regressed, as his movements are often quite fumbling, and he can't move very quickly. He can still hit some moves, but they don't look nearly as damaging as they used to.
His character work will keep him going for a long time, but there's no doubt that he's slowed down inside the squared circle.
