10 Wrestlers Who Just Don't Care Anymore

3. Asuka

Asuka used to be a thing of fear.

NXT built her up as a technicolour-clad killer with a lighter, playful sense of showmanship. She'd shimmy and sway to the ring in attire best described as colour vomit and smile in an opponent's face before kicking her head off. As the undefeated NXT Women's Champion, she embarked on a legendary run that established her as one of the most imposing, dominant figures in the whole company, and this carried into her main roster run as well... until she lost to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34.

While that defeat could've been redeemed, WWE has now diminished her to point that she's as unspecial as any other midcarder on the roster. Yes, she's a Women's Tag Team Champion, but when has the promotion ever treated those belts with any great regard? As a top-tier headliner, Asuka is dead.

It shouldn't come as a huge surprise, then, that 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' looks a lot happier screwing around with her new YouTube channel, KanaChanTV, than she does performing WWE's scripted bullsh*t. Let's hope this passion project proves more fulfilling than the past year on SmackDown.
