10 Wrestlers Who Made Other WWE Wrestlers Cry
1. Jerry Lawler Makes The Chairman Sob
‘The Genetic Jackhammer’ Vince McMahon is known to hate showing any kind of weakness in front of his employees. It’s why the backstage area was cordoned off at Royal Rumble 2005 when he ruptured both his quads storming the ring and why he hates sneezing in creative meetings as it demonstrates an uncontrollable lack of weakness and why he believes "there is no such thing as sick."
With all that said Jerry Lawler brought the Chairman Vince McMahon to a state of tears one day after gifting him a present. There’s much respect between Lawler and McMahon, it’s obvious from Lawler doing commentary for the company for four different decades. So much respect in fact that McMahon has on many occasions sent big-time WWE talent like Triple H, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels to work down in Lawler’s Memphis organisation to boost ticket sales, with Vince McMahon even having a run down there in ’97 where he first planted the seeds for his villainous Mr. McMahon character.
Lawler being the talented artist away from the ring revealed how he gifted a drawing to Vince one time of 3 generations of McMahons that had him in tears:
“I don’t know where I got the idea from, but anyway I did a portrait, a big nice portrait for Vince. It was like a triple portrait, a portrait where Vince was in the middle, on the left of Vince was his son Shane and on the right of Vince was his father Vince, Sr. and so I did this portrait, worked on it a long time. It really turned out great. I think it brought tears to his eyes. I was shocked and then he hugged me and said how much it meant to him and all that sort of stuff. That was like the one moment that I ever really saw from Vince that kind of emotion. I think it’s still hanging in his office."
