Wrestling is seen by many as this red-blooded muscular display of athleticism where performers come across as physically tough and not to be messed with.

Many who have competed in the squared circle have had gruellingly tough backgrounds from Kurt Angle winning an Olympic Gold Medal with a broken freakin’ neck to Brock Lesnar competing in UFC and winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship whilst unknowingly battling debilitating diverticulitis for years.

They even demonstrate their toughness when battling through serious injuries to finish matches like Mankind after being thrown 16 ft from the top of the Hell in a Cell structure or Triple H twice finishing major matches after blowing out his quads.

But wrestlers are like anyone else, where emotions get the better of them from time to time. Drake Maverick understandably got emotional in a video he posted on social media after losing his job in the string of WWE cuts stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, even though it turned out to be a ruse, and part of a storyline. The Eddie Guerrero Raw tribute show the day after he passed had the entire roster in a fit of tears. Sasha Banks and Bayley broke down crying after their classic Iron Man at NXT TakeOver: Respect after seeing the roster pay tribute to them on the ramp.

There are situations and circumstances where wrestlers are the ones responsible for making other wrestlers cry...
