10 Wrestlers Who Must Return To Impact Wrestling

1. Drew Galloway

There were rumors making the rounds that Impact tried to re-sign Drew Galloway and were planning on making him their Heavyweight Champion. That seemed like a great call. It’s too bad the company dropped the ball on their negotiations with him, as he’s someone who the company should build around in the coming years.

Ever since he left WWE, Galloway has been one of the biggest stars on the independent scene. He’s also done great work in TNA, and proved he could be a versatile top-level babyface, which is something Impact has badly lacked throughout the vast majority of its existence. In a frustrating move, they turned him heel and blew a big opportunity to finally have a likeable good guy leading the way.

Galloway was still effective as a heel, but he was cast in the wrong role. Still, there was plenty of time to right that wrong had they brought him back.

They screwed up big time.

It's hard to say where he'll land in the future. WWE may offer him a big money deal, or he may stick around on the independent scene and choose which days he wants to work. If that's the case, then Impact would provide him much more freedom to do what he wants. He would also restore some goodwill to the promotion by proving the management team cares about talent who wasn't just around for their past era.

Out of any former TNA wrestler out there, Galloway is the one who could help them out the most over the course of the next few years.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
