10 Wrestlers Who Never Competed In A WWE Ladder Match

8. Hardcore Holly

Hardcore Holly spent 15 long years in the WWE, arriving in 1994 as Thurman 'Sparky' Plugg and eventually departing as Hardcore Holly in 2009. Holly is a strange anomaly in modern pro wrestling, a memorable wrestler with a somewhat mainstream name who never really did anything of any great meaning in the company.

He also never competed in a ladder match. Holly was a three-time tag team champion and six-time Hardcore Champion, and despite challenging for secondary titles and tag titles on a number of occasions he never did so under ladder match rules.

This was probably for the best, as the thought of the notoriously stiff Holly with a ladder doesn't bare thinking about.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
