10 Wrestlers Who No-Showed

Event: An April 1995 ECW card.

What Happened: Paul Heyman was p*ssed when Sabu dissed pre-agreed ECW bookings to take some with New Japan in April 1995. The Extreme owner was even more miffed that his 'Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal' star was a key part of that evening's triple threat main event.

In true Heyman fashion, Paul E romped out in front of an annoyed live crowd and laid Sabu's decision bare. Then, without much hesitation, ECW's top man fired the wrestler publicly and stopped short of calling him a flaming as*hole in the process. It was messy, but Heyman must've felt he had to protect his company.

Sabu wouldn't return until November.

By then, ECW likely thought business was more important than anything else. Sabu had name value after showing up on WCW Nitro too, and Heyman couldn't afford to be too picky when it came to star attractions for his growing organisation.

He was probably still angry though.
