10 Wrestlers Who No-Showed

6. Kevin Nash

Event: WCW Starrcade 1997.

What Happened: Eric Bischoff has since sorta' cleared this up on his '83 Weeks' podcast by saying he knew just ahead of time that Kevin Nash wouldn't be there for WCW's Starrcade 1997 pay-per-view. According to Bisch, the pair had a telephone conversation, discussed Kevin's heart attack worries and ensured the company wouldn't hold anything against Nash.

'Big Sexy' was still advertised for the pay-per-view.

He was scheduled to wrestle The Giant on the card, but WCW replaced the match with a Scott Hall angle instead. Fans weren't clued in on that, meaning the event was missing one of its major attractions; on the same pod, Eric then went on to admit that Nash probably didn't want to leave his home so close to Christmas either, which is... something else.

It's cool that Bischoff was concerned for Kevin's health, but WCW could've given fans (both watching at home and in D.C live) a heads up that he wouldn't show.
